Married Birmingham man sentenced in Virginia on sex crime

RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) - An Alabama man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for a sexual relationship he had with a 14-year-old Boise, Idaho, girl he met through an online game.
   
Morgan Douglas Jones was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Richland. In April, he pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of travel for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct.
   
Court documents say the 28-year-old married man from Birmingham and the victim met through the internet game World of Warcraft and began a relationship online. Jones, then, drove cross-country to meet the girl. The two were found at a campsite in Franklin County last year.
