Man Spends Night In Wrecked Car

Birmingham police and fire fighters have rescued a man who lost control of his car on Robert Jemison road.
The car plunged down a 50 foot embackment late last night. Unable to climb back up the embankment, the unidentified man spent the night in his car.

Worried friends looking for the man notified police and located the man around 2 p.m. this afternoon. Fire fighters and para-medics were able to pull the man to safety.
He suffered broken ribs and other minor injuries. He was transported to UAB hospital for treatment.
