Man Arrested for Stealing Brother’s Identity to Escape House Arrest

    Alabama state troopers say an Ohio man
is in custody for identity theft and drivers license fraud.

    Troopers arrested 35-year-old Ricky Joe Dean Morgan in his
hometown of Hamilton, Ohio. He was transported to the Colbert
County Jail where he awaits trial.

    The Department of Public Safety said in a statement Wednesday, a
six month investigation led to Morgan’s arrest in July.

    He is accused of assuming his brother’s identity to hide his
escape from house arrest in Marion County, Ala., in 2007. Morgan
faces 26 felony charges.
