Local 7-Year Old Guitar Hero Will Perform At Boutwell’s Inauguration Celebration

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A 7-year-old Birmingham boy has been tapped to introduce President elect Barack Obama at the local inauguration celebration.

Malik Kofi is a multi-talented local whiz kid, who hopes to make history and Birmingham proud within the next few weeks.

Kofi’s grandmother describes him as being gifted. His latest gift is the guitar. The self taught Jimmy Hendrix in training has been practicing for about 9 months.

Birmingham’s local inauguration ceremony will be open to the public. It will be held at the Boutwell Auditorium on Tuesday, January 20th. Doors open at 8 a.m.
