Langford’s trial set for May 4th

Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford’s trial has been set for May 4, 2009.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—- Magistrate Judge Paul Greene has set Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford’s federal corruption trial for May 4, 2009.
Langford was charged in a 101 count indictment earlier this month.
He’s accused of accepting thousands of dollars in gifts in exchange for providing county bond swap contracts to investment banker William Blount and lobbyist Albert LaPierre.
All three men have pleaded not guilty.
