Katopodis placed into custody after guilty verdict
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—-
U.S. Marshals placed Gregory John Katopodis in handcuffs moments after his guilty verdict in a charity fraud case.
It took a jury 8 hours to convict Katopodis on all 97 counts.
Prosecutors claimed Katopodis misused tax money set aside to provide computers to needy children.
Katopodis argued he spent his own money he personally deposited in the Computer Help for Kids charity bank account.

I would love to see a video of him in handcuffs! What a great day for the citizens of Birmingham!! I can’t stop smiling!
I am so glad they took him into custody immediately. He is definitely reaping what he has sown.
