Jefferson County Schools plans two school groundbreakings

There will be ceremonies marking the beginning of construction for two new schools in Jefferson County.
Information from Jefferson County Schools shows a groundbreaking will be held October 6, 2009 on Bone Dry Road for the new Mortimer Jordan High School.
And, the following day, on October 7, 2009, there will be a groundbreaking for the new Hueytown High School on 15th Street.
The new Hueytown HS will be 280,000 square feet, and cost more than $37 million.
The projected completion date is June 2011.
