House passes historic health care bill
Published: November 7, 2009
The house has passed the sweeping healthcare reform bill late Saturday night.
The final vote was tight, with 220 members supporting the bill, and 215 members opposing it.
218 “yay” votes were needed for the bill to pass.
The bill would expand coverage to millions of uninsured Americans, and in part, prevent insurance companies from refusing coverage because of pre-existing conditions.
The bill passage is considered a major victory for President Obama, who has made healthcare reform a top priority in his administration.
The senate now has to vote on its version of the bill, which is not expected until at least December.

I stated 5 years on my last comment, well for those who didnt know its up to 5 years in prison and a fine up to $250,000.00.
Well one thing I know for a fact, from this point forward the democrats will never receive another vote from me. Hope your happy working on killing medicare for seniors and setting a fine of 250,000 and up to 5 years for those that dont get health care. First of all its a violation of our Constitutional rights where Gov forces you to buy anything. Thats ok though you now will get one less vote and trust me there are alot of others just like me (Im disabled) that will do as I am. For the Nancy Polosi and jerks, Cant wait to see the elections next year. Thank God I didnt except medicare. Cant take something from me I dont have. Thank God Votes passed to ban money for anyone needing help with abortion. To bad, I dont think us taxpayers should pay for you to play. My moto is you play you pay. Im 100% against abortion except in case of rape or incest. One step closer to banning Abortion outright!!! Now you have to pay for it and I dont!!!
