Heflin man killed in wreck

  HEFLIN, Ala. (AP) - A two-vehicle collision on New Year’s Day
left Helfin man dead and two others injured.
 
  Alabama state troopers said 40-year-old Ronald Edwards died in
Thursday’s accident on Alabama 9 in Calhoun County.
 
  The wreck occurred just before 4 p.m. Thursday, approximately 7
miles east of Anniston.
 
  A passenger in Edward’s car and the driver of a second vehicle
were injured and were transported to an area hospital.
 
  The nature of their injuries was not available.
 
  Troopers at the Jacksonville Post said the accident is under
investigation.
