Head-on wreck slows traffic on Highway 280 in Chelsea

A head-on collision in Chelsea slows traffic both ways on Highway 280.
The wreck happened about 6:45am CT today, July 7, 2009, on the westbound side of 280, at Highway 43, also known as Bear Creek Road.
It appears a car was on the eastbound side, and tried to turn left across westbound traffic, but struck another vehicle head-on.
A total of 3 vehicles were involved.
A Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputy believes 2 people were injured, and taken to a hospital.
Two lanes were closed, while the wreckage was cleared out.
All lanes were expected to be open by 9:00am CT today.
