James Brown may be gone, but he’s certainly not forgotten. Items once owned by The Godfather of Soul are scheduled to be auctioned off Thursday,
July 17th in New York.
Brown’s legendary life and historic music career will be up for the highest bidders at Christie’s of New York. The auctions will take place at 10 am and 2pm Eastern.
So what can you get your hands on? Buyers can pick up some of the musician’s stage clothing, maybe one of his musical
instruments.
And if that doesn’t make you hit high note…. how about an autographed bobble head?
The first lot up for sale is a childhood photo of Brown, starting at $500. Brown’s World Acheivement award, BET award as well as his BIllboard award will also be up for sale.
There’s probably something for everyone, since nearly 350 lots will be auctioned off.
You don’t have to be at Christie’s in New York to pick up an item or two, you can place bids online.
