Moundville, Ala. - Native American elders are upset that the largest Indian stone mound in Alabama created in about 500 A.D. is being destroyed.
The land in Oxford is being used as fill dirt for a new retail development.
While Oxford has damaged its historic Native American site, another Alabama city has embraced theirs and made it a cultural heritage destination.
