Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin and Etowah County District Attorney Jimmie Harp held a joint press conference Wednesday afternoon to announce that charges have been filed for two suspects in the murder of Jeffrey Blake Stone, 15, of Attalla.
Suspects Nathaniel Wayne Lee, 19, and Troy Smiley, 22, are charged with 1st degree murder.
Entrekin and Harp both said the motive in the murder was simply the rush of killing someone. The suspects had allegedly planned this killing for several weeks prior to the murder.
Entrekin and Harp said Stone’s body was found wrapped in a tarp inside a container in a freezer at 1176 Littleton Cutoff Road in Attalla.
Stone’s body had been moved from a shallow grave to the freezer when the suspects feared the body would become visible, Entrekin and Harp said.
The house sits just down the street from where Stone and his parents lived on Littleton Cutoff Road. Stone had been an acquaintance of the suspects.

I think it would be best to let the parents of Jeffery Stone pull the trigger twice on these two cold heartless killers
I think we should allow the parents of Jeffery Stone the priviledge of “feeling the rush” by letting them pull the plungers to inject the lethal injection in these animals that plotted and killed their son.
