FALKVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in Morgan County blame a deer
for causing a one-vehicle crash that left a Huntsville woman dead.

County Coroner Russ Beard said 67-year-old Willie King died
early Sunday in a crash on Interstate 65, about 3 miles north of
Falkville. The accident occurred just after midnight.

Beard said King and her husband were returning from the
Alabama-Mississippi State football game when the accident occurred.
He said Hubert King, the victim’s husband, swerved to avoid the
deer and hit a tree.

A study released in Oct. shows vehicle crashes with deer have
more than doubled in the last 15 years. That’s because of the fall
breeding season.
