Death of Infant Ruled Homicide

On Sunday, August 17, 2008, a 2-year-old male victim was assaulted by a 22-year-old male suspect (father of the victim).  The victim was taken to Children’s Hospital to be treated for severe bruising.  On Wednesday, August 27, 2008, the victim died while receiving treatment for his injuries. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has classified the death of the victim as a homicide.
The victim has been identified as Kemarrious Moore, 2, of Birmingham, Alabama.

The suspect has been identified as Jamel Hubbard, 22, of Birmingham, Alabama.  A Capital Murder warrant, under no bond, has been obtained against this suspect.
The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
