Death investigation underway in Blount County

An investigation is underway to determine how a Blount County man died.
Coroner John Mark Vaughn tells NBC13HD News the body of Michael Shannon Watkins, 37, was found in his home on St. Andrew Parkway in Oneonta about 10:45am CT Wednesday, June 17, 2009.
An autopsy will be performed to determine why he died.
Officials do not know at this time whether this is a homicide case or not.
