Congressman Artur Davis seconded the nomination to make Senator Barack Obama the Democratic choice for president at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday night.

In his speech Davis talked about Sen. Obama’s visit to Alabama and his support for the troops.
Davis said, “I heard him remind my red state that there is no such thing as a Democrat way or Republican way to build strong families… that work and personal responsibility are Democratic standards too. And this above all I heard Obama tell my state to sustain our voters…but an American value.“

Congressman Davis and Senator Barack Obama attended college together.
