1. Emory Anthony Jr.
Anthony is a criminal defense attorney, a former educator, prosecutor and judge. He has run twice for mayor against former Mayor Richard Arrington Jr.

2. William A. Bell Sr.
Bell represents District 1 in the Jefferson County Commission. He is a former Birmingham City Council representative and was appointed in 1999 to succeed Richard Arrington Jr as interim Mayor of Birmingham.

Cannon is a retired bar owner and former president of the Southside neighborhood association.

4. Patrick C. Cooper
Cooper is a Birmingham attorney who finished second in the 2007 mayor’s race.

Douglas is with Greater Birmingham Ministries.

6. Steven W. Hoyt
Hoyt is a Birmingham City Council representative in his second term.

Smitherman is the current acting mayor of Birmingham and a three-term Birmingham City Councilor.

I say vote for “Traveling Shoes” at least going in we will know we are getting a clown. Think how much fun the meetings will be!
