Center Point apartment fire

Most residents at one apartment complex may be able to return to their homes soon.
Lightning caused a fire at Chalkville Crossing apartment complex in Center Point, located at 1122 Spring Villa Circle, Tuesday, March 31, 2009.
The American Red Cross was called by fire officials at approximately 10:30 a.m. CT to assess the needs of residents affected by this fire.
Ten units within the complex were affected, including two units with fire damage and one with water damage.
Other units are without power.
The apartment complex is working to relocate these residents to vacant units.
Power is expected to be restored to most residents Tuesday evening.
