Burglary Suspect Arrested

On Friday October 10th, 2008, at approximately 9:50 a.m. Shelby County 911 received a call of a burglary in progress in the 2000 block of Springfield Loop. Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and secured the residence. Investigators responded and began questioning a possible witness. Through questioning, it was determined that the witness was actually involved in the burglary and at least one item stolen from the residence was recovered.
Charles Norman Adams, III, 25 years of age, from Birmingham, was arrested and charged with one count of Burglary 3° and one count of Theft of Property 2°. He has a bond of $15,000.00 for the burglary charge and $15,000.00 for the theft charge. Investigators are continuing this investigation to determine if Adams has been involved in any other similar crimes in Shelby County.
