For those who do not realize:  The police do not and can not protect you. 99% of the time the bodies are already on the ground or the money & porperty and culprit are already gone by the time law enforcement can arrive upon the scene. You have to take responsibility for your own protection and self defense. Like the Boy Scout motto states:  BE PREPARED

I agree police officers should not get paid while in jail for such a horrendous crime.

It is not like they enjoy paying a criminal, but there is more to it than most realize. Quick to jump to conclusion…

I can’t believe the police dept.
would pay a policeman to be off
work for such an horrible crime.
They are here to protect us, NOT
hurt us!!!!!!!!! I just don’t think
it is right or fair to the people
of the communities.
Thank You

Paid leave??? That’s way to generous! Should be leave without pay. Oh, I forgot when cops are arrested they are innocent until proven guilty. Different set of standards from Joe the Plumber.
