Birmingham Police investigate overnight murder

Homicide #55:  Was discovered on Monday, November 9, 2009, at approximately 1:57 a.m., at 4044 38th Avenue North, Birmingham, Alabama.

The victim has been identified as:
Robert Tucker, B/M, 23, of 4044 38th Avenue North.
Officers from the East Precinct responded to the incident location to investigate a report of a person shot. After arriving, officers located the victim lying in the back yard of his residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper chest. 

Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

This case is still under investigation. 

No arrests have been made in this case.

To date, fifty-five (55) chargeable Homicides have been reported in the City of Birmingham during 2009, compared to seventy-one (71) at this time in 2008.

Another weekend another killing when are people going to stop shooting each other whats wrong with a good old faishon fist fight to settle things?
