UPDATE: Birmingham Police Investigate Death at BP Gas Station

A reward is now offered for the arrest and conviction of the person or people involved in a homicide at a Birmingham gas staetion.
According to Lt. Henry Irby of the BPD, officers responded about 10:30 a.m. Thursday to a BP gas station at 1101 3rd Avenue North.
When officers arrived, they found a man lying inside the store, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identifies the victim as Mohamed Hadi, 22 years old.
According to Joey Moore of Moore Oil Company, the company is offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder.

I am a full time student at UAB and since this gas station is so convenient to campus, I am a frequent customer. I have had plenty of encounters with Hadi and I hope that the suspects are brought to justice. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
