A word of warning from Georgia transportation officials to Alabama Crimson Tide football fans: Be ready for traffic delays, if you are coming to the August 30th football game against Clemson.
The Georgia Department of Transportation is advising all those attending Labor Day weekend events in downtown Atlanta of a major interstate reconstruction project where I-85 meets I-75 South.
This construction will cause heavy traffic delays on the interstate and in the area immediately surrounding the Georgia Dome, where Clemson University plays the University of Alabama August 30, 2008.
Beginning August 29, I-85 Southbound will be reduced to 2 lanes near I-75, and I-75 Southbound will be reduced to one lane at this merge.
Georgia DOT urges travelers to call 511 for free, updated information on construction projects.
