MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP)—Randy McKinney of Orange Beach has been elected as vice president of the State Board of Education.

The board met Tuesday in Montgomery to elect officers. McKinney replaces David Byers of Birmingham.

The board chose Mary Jane Caylor of Huntsville to be president pro-tem and she replaces McKinney who previously served in that position.

Gov. Bob Riley serves as the board’s president by office but McKinney will run proceedings in the governor’s absence.
