Ala. man get 40 year term for fatal stabbing

DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - A 37-year-old Houston County man will serve
a lengthy prison term in a two-year-old murder case.
    A circuit judge sentenced Cenobio Sanchez Wednesday to more than
40 years for the stabbing death of Carlos Benitez in June 2007.
    Prosecutors said the Gordon man pleaded guilty in March to
stabbing the victim more than a dozen times during a dispute.
    Sanchez was also convicted of possessing a fake Social Security
card and a bogus federal work permit.
