VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. (AP) - The 74-year-old operator of a Cahaba
Heights day care has been charged with first-degree sexual abuse of
children enrolled at the center.
The Birmingham News reports Saturday that Vestavia Hills police
arrested Robert Eugene Frost around 5 p.m. Thursday at Christian’s
Day Care and Learning Academy.
Frost was being held without bond in the Jefferson County Jail
and it was not immediately known if he had a lawyer.
Police Chief Butch Wilson said police launched an investigation
earlier in the week after receiving a complaint from a parent. He
said two 5-year-old girls were found to be victims.
The day care center, which has an enrollment of about 20
children, remained open Friday. Workers there declined to comment.
