Accident Kills Two People in Jefferson County

Two people died in a one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded just after midnight Sunday to Cherry Avenue at Bivens-Brookside Road.
Deputies say a pick up truck careened off the road, flipped and hit a telephone pole.
The county coroner says the two victims are the truck’s driver, 22-year-old Chad McDonald, and 15 year old Cody Gooch, who was riding in the truck’s bed.
Five others were treated for injuries at area hospitals.
