EUFAULA, Ala. (AP) - A Eufaula man says his son is recovering
after being hit in the shoulder during a shooting rampage at the
Fort Hood Army post in Texas.
Retired Army Col. Mike Davis told the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer
that his son, 32-year-old Chad Davis, was released form the
hospital Friday, a day after the shooting that wounded 30 and left
13 dead.
The elder Davis said his son has been in the Army 14 years, but
he didn’t know why his son was at the Soldier Readiness Center.
Mike Davis said his son’s wife, Megan, was headed to Fort Hood
to visit him.
He said his son has served twice in Korea and in Iraq.
