3 Shelby County cities named in best small towns to live

A new survey shows four Alabama cities rank in the top 100 best places to live, three of them are in Shelby County.
According to information from CNNMoney.com, the highest ranking city in Alabama is Madison, at #49.
The next highest Alabama city in the survey is Calera, at #83, followed by Alabaster at #85, and Helena at #90.
The survey says Calera residents enjoy outdoor activities like hunting and fishing, and are fiercely loyal to its local stores.
Alabaster is praised as one of Alabama’s fastest growing communities, with new construction and modest home prices, school quality and shopping.
Helena is recognized for its small-town charm with natural beauty, and affordable housing.
