MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Two agency heads in Gov. Bob Riley’s administration have traded barbs on Facebook over a candidate for governor who is critical of Riley.

The Montgomery Advertiser reports that Alabama Broadband Initiative director Kathy Johnson posted a Facebook entry to fire up supporters of her husband, Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Johnson. But that prompted Medicaid Commissioner Carol Herrmann Steckel to fire off a Facebook objection.

Steckel noted that Bill Johnson, who once worked for Riley, has turned on him during the campaign. She said Bill Johnson is a hypocrite and so is Kathy Johnson for continuing to work for Riley.

Kathy Johnson replied on Facebook that Steckel was rude and hurtful.
