1 dead, 1 injured in Hoover stabbing

One man is dead and a woman injured after an early morning stabbing in Hoover.

It happened about 1 a.m. at a home in the 500 block of Shades Crest Road.

Nicholas Matthew Johnson, 25, was stabbed to death multiple times.

The unidentified female victim called police from a neighbor’s house. She is in intensive care after undergoing surgery this morning.

Wayne Duncan, 48, of Decatur, was arrested.

Police say Duncan knew the victims and say this was not a random crime.

A second suspect is being questioned but has not been charged.
