The Day Ahead- Tuesday, June 10, 2008:
-Birmingham Water Works crews will be working on repairing a water main break throughout the morning. The main break has closed down 27th Ave. north between 31st street and 32nd street North. Birmingham Police are on the scene directing traffic.
-I-20 westbound between mile marker 139 and 140 will be closed starting at 9:30 a.m. A broken down tractor trailer from earlier this morning is going to be removed from the shoulder. Motorists are asked to detour off of Exit 140 to Highway 78 and get back on at the Old Leeds Road exit.
-One of Scrushy's chief financial officers, Tad McVay, is scheduled to appear in court today. McVay has a probation revocation hearing this morning at 9 a.m.
-The Birmingham City Council meets today at 9:30 a.m. The budget is one of the major issues that is scheduled to be discussed.
-The Jefferson County Commission meets today at 10:00.
