Oakman To Unveil New Memorial
Oakman High School in Walker County will dedicate its new veteran’s memorial on Memorial Day.
The memorial was the idea of two students two years ago.
A dozen stone tablets decorate the memorial, and bricks bearing the names of veterans that can be purchased with a $25 donation to the memorial line the grounds.
The space is Oakman’s first veteran’s memorial.
High School students have worked hand in hand with city veterans to complete the project.
