Hassle-free holiday traveling tips

• Getting to the airport
While this shouldn’t be your biggest hassle when traveling…it has the potential to be. It just takes one flat tire or overheated engine to cause you to miss your flight. Be sure your vehicle is in good working order before you start your trip to the airport.
• Plan ahead
Airports are known to be chaotic during the holiday season, make sure you know exactly where you need to go, when you need to be there and be prepared for any obstacles in-between. Security lines will be long. Make sure you’ve kept up-to-date on the latest TSA rules and regulations. New luggage fees and restrictions may create some added frustration for you and/or other passengers. Check out http://www.tsa.gov/ for the latest rules and regulations.
• Know your stuff
There is always the possibility that your luggage may get lost during your travels. Be sure to have a list of everything you packed; that way if you need to claim losses from the airline you’ll be prepared. If you’re traveling with valuable items, you may want to keep those items in your carry-on baggage.
