Alabama Duo Draws National Attention

    TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama running back Glen Coffee and
nose guard Terrence Cody have been placed on the Maxwell Football
Club Awards watch list.
    Coffee was added to the Maxwell Award list of candidates for the
nation’s top offensive player.
    Cody was named to the 2008 Chuck Bednarik Award watch list,
presented annually to the best defensive player in college
football.
    Coffee ranks second in the SEC in rushing yards and is averaging
7.5 yards per carry.
    Cody spearheads the SEC’s top rushing defense.
