A woman died in a fire which broke out in this Adamsville home Wednesday morning.

ADAMSVILLE, Ala.—- A 61 year old woman died early Wednesday in a house fire in Adamsville which also sent two adults and two children to the hospital.

The fire broke out around 6:40 am at 3609 Oakwood Drive.

The identity of the woman who died has not been released.

Neighbors told NBC13HD she was a retired nurse who lived in the home with her daughter, granddaughter and two children.

Investigators claimed the woman who died was found in a bathtub full of water without any burns.

The children’s ages were 2 and 6, according to a Deputy State Fire Marshal.

The exact cause of the fire has not been released yet, but it appears to be an accident.

Neighbors said one of the adult women who escaped the fire had to be admitted to hospital, while the other adult and two children have been released.
