Update: Suspect Wounded in Drug Store Robbery Set to be Released

A teenager wanted in connection with the robbery of a Carbon Hill, Alabama drug store is set to be released from University Hospital today.  He was treated for injuries sustained after being shot by police.
Carbon Hill Police Chief Bob King was put on administrative leave after the incident.  Walker county sheriff’s deputies are investigating the incident.  They say the suspect fired at police officers 5 times before being shot in the exchange.  Deputies say the teen will be arrested in connection with the robbery of Vickers Drug Store as soon as he is released from the hospital.
