University of North Carolina researchers have released a list of prescription drugs that may increase the risk for falls among seniors who take at least four medications on a regular basis.

The list includes a variety of prescription anti-depressants; seizure, cold and sleep-aid medications; and painkillers.

Researchers say the drugs can depress the central nervous system, making people less alert and giving them slower reaction times.
