HELENA, Ala. - Incahoots, a popular Shelby County restaurant, has closed its doors for good.

Owners Harold and Claudia Deason say they’re ready to retire, so it was time to close the restaurant.  They closed the doors on New Year’s Eve.

Incahoots originally opened in Hoover in 1984.  Ten years ago the Deasons expanded and moved their business to Helena.

One of the features of the rustic-style restaurant was an outdoor dining room overlooking the Buck Creek waterfall.

The property and everything in the building, including the appliances, will be auctioned off on January 27.
