Police Look For Kin Of Transient Pelham Man

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP)—Authorities are searching for relatives of a transient who died at a Birmingham hospital last month of natural causes.

Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Pat Curry said 60-year-old John Hillary Denard died at UAB Hospital on Aug. 10.

He said Curry’s last known address is the Oak Mountain State Park campground.

Authorities haven’t been able to locate Curry’s next of kin, and his body is ready to be released for burial.

Family or friends are asked to call the coroner’s office at 205-930-3603.
