UPDATE: Person shot in Birmingham

More details are developing regarding a person who was shot this morning in Birmingham.
The Birmingham Police Department tells NBC13HD News the person suffered a gunshot wound, and was taken to a hospital.
It happened about 8 a.m. CT at 331 3rd Street SW.
The victim, a 64 year old man, was transported to UAB Hospital.
A police spokesperson says his injuries are serious, but his condition is unavailable.
An investigation is under way, and no arrests are reported.
