North Jefferson double murder trial continues

BESSEMER, Ala. —NBC 13 HD reporter Jon Paepcke reports that the double murder trial for Bobby Ray Sims continues with testimony about forensics evidence.
Teresa and Hershell Florence were shot to death with a shotgun in their Alliance community in north Jefferson County on July 15, 2007.
Sims was arrested and charged with murder the next day.
The Florences had taken out a harassment warrant against Sims prior to the murder but he had not been arrested.
The victim’s family tells NBC 13 HD that the trial could last until Friday.
