Mobile Student Struck By Truck On Way To School

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - A 12-year-old girl who was struck by a pickup truck while walking to Katherine Hankins Middle School in Mobile has been listed in good condition.

Troopers said Korianne Marie Baggett, 12, of Theodore was taken to the University of South Alabama Medical Center.

A hospital spokeswoman said Wednesday afternoon that Baggett was in good condition and had been transferred to USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital.

Mobile County Public School System spokeswoman Nancy Pierce said the girl is in the seventh grade and everyone hopes she will be fine.
