Lights out on Busy Vestavia Hills Highway

VESTAVIA HILLS-  Drive highway 31 through Vestavia Hills at night and you will notice one thing- it’s dark.  Very dark.  The stretch runs from near the Rave Cinemas, nearly as far south as the Walmart Neighborhood Market.  NBC13 called Vestavia Hills Public Works, they tell us they are aware of the problem, and are working to fix it.  The damage happened during a recent sidewalk expansion project in the area.  A spokesperson at the public works department says they are working with Monroe Electric to get the lights on again.  No word on when that will happen.
