Funeral arrangements set for Jasper soldier

Funeral arrangements have now been set for an Alabama soldier killed in Iraq.
SPC Charles D. Parrish, 23, of Jasper, died June 4, 2009 in Balad, Iraq, when his vehicle was struck by an anti-tank grenade.
He was assigned to the 5th Engineer Battalion, 555th Engineer Brigade, Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
Visitation for SPC Parrish will be Friday, June 12, 2009, from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm CT, at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 11:00 am CT, at the Walker High School football field in Jasper.
Burial will follow the funeral at Walker Memory Gardens.
