Friday Is College Colors Day In Alabama

Gov. Bob Riley wants you to wear your college colors Friday.
Riley has designated August 29, 2008 as “College Colors Day” in Alabama.
Alabama is home to more than 50 colleges and universities.
Each year, royalties from the sale of merchandise bearing Alabama college and university colors brings in more than $4 million for scholarships, according to the Collegiate Licensing Company.
The Governor signed the proclamation at the State Capitol on Wednesday surrounded by mascots of Alabama colleges and universities.
