Fire Damages Career Center In Cullman

A fire has forced the temporary relocation of the Cullman Career Center.

According to the a news release from the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations, a fire Monday night caused extensive damage to the facility.

The blaze was reported after 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Cullman Career Center, located at 1201 Katherine Street NW in Cullman.

Officials say the building suffered widespread heat damage and destroyed many computers and other office equipment.

Two temporary locations will be open Wednesday, located at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville and Alabama’s Mobile Career Center located in the parking lot near the fire-damaged building.

The state fire marshal’s office is investigating.
