Federal court records show a Dothan man has
been arrested and charged with trying to hire another man to murder
his estranged wife.
The Dothan Eagle reports that according to a Dothan police
statement, 52-year-old Michael Capshaw was charged by FBI agents,
who alleged that Capshaw hired an undercover agent to kill his
49-year-old wife.
The newspaper says court records show Capshaw attempted to hire
his niece, Nathina Whitaker, who told Capshaw her boyfriend,
Timothy O’Neal, could help him. The records say Whitaker and O’Neal
helped police gather evidence leading to Capshaw’s arrest.
Authorities arrested Capshaw on Friday. He was taken on Monday
to a federal courthouse where he was officially charged.
