Alabaster, Alabama water fees increase in January

The city council in Alabaster, Alabama approved the increase of water fees in the city.  The increases will not impact water rates for the city.
The new fees include:
New account connection fee increasing from $30.00 to $60.00.
Delinquent processing fee (formerly disconnection fee) increasing from $40.00 to $80.00.
After hours call out fee increasing from $60.00 to $100.00.
Meter charge increasing from $300.00 to $500.00.
Tap / installation charge increasing from $100.00 to $1000.00.
Internet payment convenience fee increasing from $0 to $1.00.
